I’ve got a BIG QUESTION for you: how is your baby going to get out of there? Will he or she be born in a calm, loving way to a mum who knows and owns her power? Will the life-changing day happen at home, in a hospital, in a birthing centre? Do you know what needs to happen for you to feel confident, excited and relaxed about his or her birth?
I do, and alongside my passion for questions, I love to dive deep into the answers and help you to create the best possible birth experience for you and your family.
I specialise in helping mums get into the right frame of mind so you can birth happy, healthy babies into the world - and feel empowered!
For the past eight years I have supported sensitive women to build confidence and self-acceptance, to overcome the voice of doubt, and to find a mindset that champions their every step. I coach women through intense periods of transformation; becoming a mum is most definitely one of them!
I’m not speaking to you as one mother to another, I’m speaking to you as a professional hypnobirthing and birth education instructor, a prenatal yoga teacher, and a woman who quietly knows her own power and how to use it.
Your mind shapes your entire life experience, and I know what you need to do and be to have a birth that’s memorable for all the right reasons.
Assuming you’re pregnant now, you don’t have years to master this. Thanks to proven and advanced techniques I will help you prepare your mind (and body) in a matter of weeks (or less if your EDD clock is ticking).
Born and bred in the Highlands of Scotland I am now based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire where I live with my husband John and his daughter Tilly (Matilda when she's feeling particularly authoritative). As for you, you’re growing a new life, and because you’re here reading this, I know you’re ready to do what it takes to become the mum you’ve always wanted to be.
PS. Hypnobirthing isn’t only about having a pain-free, natural delivery (though it’s possible IF that's what you want). My work is to prepare you with the right mindset for birth whatever form that takes. If it’s a C-section, induction or natural birth you’ll be prepared so that you can hold your baby in your arms trusting that you’ve given him or her the very best start. Working with me is like spending time drinking tea with your best friend - who is an amazing listener, knows what you need, puts you first and, of course, is qualified to help you prepare for the birth of your baby.
Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life.
